
The Gingerbread Cookies have been found!! Phew! Our Kindergartners toured the entire school looking for them and they were found in the library with their Gingerbread Houses! We are so happy they were found before break!





Early dismissal on Wednesday, December 21st to get students and staff home sooner than having a full day of school.
The building dismissal times are listed below:
Eagle-12:25 p.m.
Hamlow-12:40 p.m.
WIS-12:50 p.m.
WMS-12:45 p.m.
WHS-1:00 p.m.
Early Childhood classes at Eagle Elementary-cancelled.
All students, other than the high school, will be fed lunch in our buildings before being dismissed. The high school had made plans not to serve lunch during finals however some students who had requested a sack lunch can pick that up in the kitchen before they leave.
Thank you for your flexibility as we’ve made changes to our schedules this week.

REVISED: Eagle Elementary will dismiss on Wednesday, December 21st. at 12:25 pm. Lunch will be served. No after school care (VDP) or school activities due to weather. No school on Thursday, December 22nd. Holiday break is now December 22-January 3rd. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 4th. Wishing all of our Eagle students and families Happy & Safe Holidays! See you in the New Year!


UPDATED TIME DUE TO EARLY OUT 12/21! It is time for our annual All School Sing-Along! We now invite EES families to join us on Wednesday, December 21st, 8:30 am-9:00 am in the gym! Please sign in at the gym entrance.


Our Gingerbread Cookies have escaped!! Our Kindergartners spent time decorating them and then when it was time to take them out of the oven....they were GONE!! So now our Kindergarten classes are on the lookout for them...we hope we find them before break!

We are excited to welcome back students on Tuesday! Please help your child remember his/her winter coat as the weather and temperatures are changing!


A reminder! The PTE Mill coffee, teas and Baker's chocolates Fundraiser orders are due Wednesday, November 30th. A tentative pick up date is scheduled for Friday, December 16th. Thank you for your support!


All school canned food drive November 7th-14th, sponsored by our Eagle Elementary Student Council! We are collecting non-perishable food in jars and cans. Recommended food items include: sauces, soups, beans, honey and peanut butter. We are competing against Waverly Intermediate School (WIS) to see who can collect the most cans. The losing school principal will wear a t-shirt from the opposing school–we don’t want to lose!
The canned food drive will run Monday, November 7th-Monday November 14th and the items collected will help families right here in Eagle.


Veteran's Day Program Pictures are due tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2nd.
We will be holding our annual Veteran’s Day celebration in person this year on Friday, November 11th! Eagle Elementary will be putting together a slideshow to honor our veterans. Previously submitted photos will still be used. If you would like to include a photo of a special veteran you know, please submit the photo in the following way:
-Email the scanned photo to tricia.sabin@district145.org -Please name the file in this way: students name_veteran’s name_relationship to student (example: Mrs. Standage_Jack Eaton_Grandpa.jpeg)


Picture Retakes are tomorrow, November 1st!
If your child is having retakes, please complete the back of the picture envelope and any proofs back to school with your child. Payment may also be required, please read the guidelines. Picture retakes will take place first thing Tuesday morning; EC PM session will have a separate afternoon time.

PTE's Annual Original Artworks Fundraiser is due tomorrow, Friday November 4th! Please complete with their artwork and order options. There are a large variety of keepsake items to choose from! Orders are due Friday, November 4th!


TIME CHANGE: The Scholastic Book Fair is ending early tomorrow! The Book Fair will be open today, 10/06, until 8 pm this evening. We invite you to shop before or after your child's conference! Tomorrow, Friday, 10/07, is the last day! The Book Fair will be open 8 am and CLOSE at 12 noon tomorrow. Thank you for supporting your school library!


2022 Community Closet & Viking Support Station FALL Shopping! Families at all 5 School District 145 buildings can receive Fall/Winter clothing through our local Community Closet. The Community Closet is an organization that provides new and gently used clothing for free to families residing in our school district. The School District 145 Foundation for Education Viking Support Fund has also partnered with the Community Closet to enhance clothing donations and meet your home needs. Items such as bedding, kitchen items, hygiene items, shoes, etc are also available. If you would like your family to participate, please complete the form pictured. Nobody will be denied. Our Fall Scholastic BOOK FAIR runs next Monday, October 3rd- Friday October, 7th. It will be open late on Tuesday and Thursday during conferences as well! Families may set up their child with an eWallet @ https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/eagleelementary
